Why Nude is Worth its Weight in Gold
Many of us are so uncomfortable in our own skin we can’t even wear a bathing suit in public let alone strip off in front of a camera and a complete stranger. Ever wondered what it would be like to celebrate your body completely?
Lights, camera, action with the body to boot is what I coax, encourage, beg, bribe and plead with my clients to do. Yes nearly every single one of them initially balks at the idea! That is until the weight starts falling off, their body changes shape, tones and tightens and their self-esteem and self-confidence grows.
Are they a bundle of nerves, scared and terrified on the day of the photo-shoot? You bet! Do they LOVE their body in their birthday suit and what they see on the camera, hell yes! At last they have emerged out of their shell to shine like a beautiful pearl.
Posing semi-glam naked isn’t an act about vanity, egoism or self obsessiveness. It’s about my clients;
- Ultimately embracing their birthday suits unlike they’re never known before.
- Looking past their nudity and honouring the individuality and beauty of their body visually. Viewing their body as an object of sensuality and instead of self loathing it.
- Being vulnerable. Being exposed. Being real. Being authentic.The truth wears no clothes.
- Celebrating all their blood, sweat, tears, whining and whinging.
- Being an aspiration for others and who could want for a better aspiration than that.
- Experiencing freedom. The freedom of nothing and nowhere to hide. Being seen. Not giving a dam about what anyone else things
- Being courageous and confident.
- Retaining a keepsake moment that create lasting results in their weight loss efforts
- Saying “Wow, is that really me!”
Society has convinced us that our naked bodies are something that we should be embarrassed and ashamed of taboo. We cloak ourselves with insecurities about our imperfect bodies even though nakedness of being unclothed is the most natural thing in the world. Yet we have somehow made it the most unnatural thing in the world.
Don’t you deserve to be comfortable in your own skin? You were born naked. So isn’t it your birthright?
